I Spy

Hi All,
A couple of weeks ago we had really cold snap so what better way to beat the blues was to sit in front of the fire with my little bucket of copics and colour!
But now I have a rather growing pile of coloured Images just waiting to be used, so I did some challenge surfing and found a Sketch I liked at I Spy Sketches and came up with this...

I am also entering this in CAS-ual Friday as theme for this week was 'text'.

I have used the Birthday bakery stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the script is a Kaiser craft stamp.
The paper are My Minds Eye and Stampin' Up!.

Well I will go and see if I can put any more to use.

Happy Stamping.

Try Stampin' On Tuesdays #70

Happy Friday to you all, I think its my Favorite day of the week but I really can't nail why! as weekends in our house for me are much busier than during the week who knows but Fridays feel good.
I had a little time to play yesterday and I have been itching to ink up the Fab Bike in the Pedal Presents stamp set from Stampin' Up! you can get this one for a steal from the Autumn Mini if order over the hostess level of $300 before P&H. but its only available until the 31st July.
So here is my big red shiny bike in her full glory, every little girls dream....

I Followed the sketch from Try stampin' on Tuesdays, I just love their sketches they are always so workable, it is always my first port of call if I have a coloured image to use. So if your looking for some inspiration go and check it out now I would also call this card pretty Clean and Simple which happens to the theme over at Stampin' Royalty this week so I have entered there as well chek out their design teams great work here.

Anyway off to town again today, with my little Em's she has had two bouts of tonsillitis and now her throat is sore again so of we trot to the Doc again, the poor little thing.
Hope you have a great weekend
I have scheduled a post to keep you amused on Sunday so pop back then and leave me some love.

Try Stampin' On Tuesdays #69

Hi All, weather is still freezing here and blowing a gale which makes it feel even colder!!
But I have ventured out to the office, mind you I say out to office like its outside in some freezing baron location, when really its just down the hall from the lounge where the wood fire is but there is a door that closes between, so compared to the lounge it's still cold lol.
Anyway as I started saying I did venture to the cold baron office lol to play along with the sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday this week and also I couldn't wait to colour one of my new Digi imagines I won from Meljen Designs.

Isn't she just the coolest little cat in town!!

This one is called Beach Kitten and I have coloured her with my copics and teamed it up with October Afternoon ~Farmhouse papers and the greeting is from Verve.
Mejen Designs have a heap of cute Digis and I was lucky enough to win 4 from a sketch challenge last week so I will be back later to show you some of the others I chose but till then go and check out the range here.
Sorry the colours are not great but along with the cold and wind comes grey skies, can you sense here I am not a winter girl.... Bring on spring asap!

Better run and do the kiddie pick up

Random Acts of Creativity

I hope you are all keeping warm, bloody freezing here, top of 12c but wind chill of 4c so this is going to be quick so I can get back to the fire (not lucky enough for a lap top YET).
Anyway I found some warmth in making this card for Iwona Palamountains (AKA Chupa) sketch this week over at Random Acts of Creativity.

And here's the sketch we had to follow...

I have only just found Chupa's  site but have seen here work in the Stamping and Card Magazine I read and have always admired the way she can just seem to put things together. So go and check out her work here
she is very talented.
Well off to keep warm

Cupcake Birgitta

I just love this CC Design stamp called Cupcake Birgitta she is so cute sitting there with her little cupcakes....
I used the sketch from last weeks Mojo Monday but was a little slow at putting it together.
I have used some My minds eye, Lime twist  papers and yes they were scraps from another project I did.
I coloured her using my copics, which I must say I am finally starting to use more which then leads to the problem of wanting more (how greedy lol) but any one who has tried them will totally agree with me that the addiction does take hold and leaves you wanting more and more.
It's only a couple weeks till the Scrapbook and Paper craft Convention is on in Brissy so my good friend Chris and I are off for a girls day out and a spending spree, so I am hoping to pick up some copics on a show special, along with lots of other goodies!!
Must run have to catch up on some Block episodes I missed through the week before the room reveal tonight. I normally don't watch TV but I am totally hooked on this show!

One for the Boys

I really need to up my stash of Kids cards and as you have noticed the last few have been for the Girls so thought it was high time for a Boy one.
So again I went searching for inspiration out there in blog land and decided to use the sketch over at
Try Stampin On Tuesdays....

They always have fun and easy sketches to work with, go and check them out here
And using this sketch this is what I came up with....

I have used the Make a Monster set from Stampin' Up! in which I paper pieced with Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango DSP.
I am also going to enter this one in the Challenge from Stampin' Royalty this week which is to simply make a masculine themed card, there are some beauties from the design team over there,  you can check them out here.
Best be off, clouds have come over quite heavy and have all the sheets and Doonas on the line.

Mojo Monday #243

Hi All, hope your week has been productive thus far, mine is going great guns as you can tell by the number of posts!
I still have a few coloured images sitting here to be used so I headed over to the Mojo Monday site were I knew I find a fantastic sketch.....

Now Square or round is just not my thing so I stretched it down a bit to fit a standard size and tipped it on its side.....

This little one comes from CC design stamps and some more of that sweet paper from My Minds Eye Lime Twist collection, and the little tag which I noticed is a little hard to read is a Papertrey Ink stamp from the Tiny Tags set.
I hope you like her as much as I do.
Now jump over to the Mojo Monday site and check out the entries.

Freshly Made Sketches #36

Well as promised back with a card made from my scraps...I have used this weeks sketch from Freshly Made Sketches go and check it out here.
This little cutie is a Tiddly Inks Digi stamp and I have coloured her with my copics and of course the left over pieces of Echo Park paper Yours Truly that I used on my last card.
There wasn't much left as it was from one piece of 6x6. It has only been recently I have got into using the 6x6 pads (I know I have been living in the dark ages) I find them great as it doesn't take much to use a whole sheet and wollar no scraps, unlike a 12x12 in which I have a box full of scraps that I really should either use or dispose of.
Any way must go enter this over at Freshly Made Sketches before times runs out.

Pal Paper Arts #135

This week over at Pals Paper Arts they have a great sketch to work with and since I have a pile of coloured pictures sitting on my desk screaming out use me! I thought I'd have a go.
Here's the sketch....
I flip the sketch over and this is what I came up with...
I have used a Kenny K Digi stamp, coloured with my copics and the paper is from the Yours Truly 6x6 collection from Echo park.
I have made a little rule with myself  to use my scraps straight away instead of hording them were they never get looked at again (how long I stick to it we'll see) so I am off to use the scraps from the papers I have used here and I am eyeing off the the sketch at Freshly made but I must be quick because it closes in a few hours, so chop chop off I go....

See you soon

Twins!

NO ...not me silly! I think if I had more children especially twins I would be rocking in a corner somewhere lol
The three I have already keep me busy enough, but I was asked by a friend to make her a Twin card so here it is...
I have used a Kaszazz Stamp coloured it with my copics and added some October Afternoon Sidewalk papers. Cute Hey?

Now you ask what have I been doing in my absence, well plenty over the Easter School Holidays I painted our three bedrooms, ripped up all the old carpet and got some nice new flooring, Yeah! Big job Hubby was busy Harvesting so it was just a double act of me and my brush, but it was so worth it.
It took me three weeks yeah yeah I know I would never cut it on the block.
Then it took me a week just to sort the place back out again.

Any way kids back at school and Uni, Place all sorted and back to normal, hopefully some more free time to create and blog again.
So see you soon.

Sweet Sketch 147

Last night I stamped and printed a few images, grab my bucket of copics, perched myself in front of the telly with a coffee and big block of chocolate (cadbury of course) and set about some colouring.
So with my coloured images looking all so pretty today I went on a search to find a sketch to use them.
My first stop was at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and perfect....
And here is my little Matilda looking her finest and of course some yummy papers from My Minds Eye just makes her look even finer.
Its show holiday here in Toowoomba, so the Children and I are off to have lunch with Nanny for her Birthday, so I better go scrub up.

Flower Die work out

Hi All,  just wanted to show a few cards I made using the flower die From PaperTrey Ink.
I would have to say most of my inspiration for these cards came from the very talented Karen Thomas, she seems to have making a CAS card down to a fine art....
So here are my attempts...

Sorry the pics have not good lighting to read the sentiments but for any other details on these cards just flick me an email.

Well I just received in the mail an armful of 6x6 paper pads from My Minds Eye and October Afternoon  so I am off to drool a bit and may be bring my self to use some.
Is anyone else out there like that, not wanting to use some paper or embellishment because you like it too much and want to be greedy and keep it all to yourself.
(Yes I know one who is like that Don't I Chris!!)

Till next time

Throwing Down a Bit of Colour

The last lot of colours over at Colour Throw Down are soooo out of my comfort zone that I had to try it.
The colours to use were
Now I missed the boat on the cut off for this one but I still wanted to play along any way, so here is what I came up with...
Defiantly not one of my favorite cards I have made, but it will pass.
Sorry for the lighting but getting late in the day and I know if I don't do it now it won't happen.
Now for the particulars, I have used Stampin' Up! Morning cup stamp set along with some DSP also from Stampin' Up!

The Deconstructed Sketch

I found this great challenge site the other day while checking out some blogs its called The Deconstructed Sketch, so I thought I would play along, Here's what their sketch looked liked...
And this is what I came up with...
Only I forgot to add the scalloped boarder which would have gave it a prettier look, Oh well next time.
This is a CC Design stamp coloured with my copics, and the paper is My Minds Eye, Stella and Rose.
I hope you like her, I think she is a supa cute image.

Try Stampin' On Tuesdays #56

Ha you thought I was off to do the daily chores as I mentioned in last post, but I decided to have a quick blog surf and got a little carried away, so needless to say the chores can wait!!
When I first seen the sketch over at Try Stampin On Tuesdays I quickly shut the page with a "oh that's too hard", but I thought... no that's why its called a challenge so I went back copied it down and put the thinking cap on,
Here's the sketch...
See what I mean a bit tricky,  But this is what I came up with...
The flowers were actually coloured by Hubby, sometimes when he is sitting in the office (he thinks, its really my craft room) doing the farm bookwork he will have a play with my copics, I really think its his artist side coming out when he has these urges as his Aunt, Uncle and his Sister are all very talented potters and painters. So give him some credit as well...
The stamps We have used are Elements of Style and Simply said.
Back soon

Colour Throwdown #177

It's been a long time since I have played along with the girls over at Colour Throwdown, and since the colours this week were perfect for the Love Month theme I am on at the moment, I thought I'd give it a go.
Here's the colour pallet for the week...
It's soooo striking... Don't you think??
And still with my I Heart stamp set out this is what I came up with....

Bit camera shy was the black, but you get the idea, I really need to brush up on the photo skills, If any one's got any pointers or web sites to help I would really appreciate the link.
Anyway back to what I do better.... making them!

Mojo Monday #226

Well as promised back with the other card I made used the Morning cup Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!
This time I played along with the sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog which looks like this...
Now I am not big on making round cards and as for square well, will the excuse "I didn't have an envelope to fit" do???
But anyway I adapted it to fit your stardard card size and this is what I came up with...
I have also tipped the sketch on its side,
I have used the same image as the last card and colourred it with my copics again and have used My Minds Eye, Stella and Rose papers and the greeting is from a PTI stamp set called UP Up and away.

Well finally we have had some sunshine here so I have taken pics of all the cards I had made lately so I have plenty on hand for blogging, so hopefully I should be able to keep your interest going for a little while.

Until next time

Long time between drinks

Hi all,
Yes I am still alive lol .... I know it has been along time between drinks so to speak but I do have a few good reasons for you to forgive me.
The end of last year was a big one for us as as we had 3 children at 3 different schools which meant three lots of all those end of year activities, plus 2 of them were graduations.
I will start at the top... Our oldest Boy Jake graduated from year 12 at Toowoomba Grammar School,
Here is a pic of him and his lovely little girl Tessa on there way to the Formal...
We are so very proud of him and now he's off to Uni to study Engineering, Boy it sure makes you feel a bit old when they start leaving school.
Next the youngest Boy Mitch graduated from Grammar Junior, and is now off to Senior school...
In which I can inform you he is settled in great and loving it.
Then the youngest Em finished year 5 and went into year 6 at our little local school in which this will be her last year there before she too is off to the big smoke next year.
So you can see with all those end of year concerts and dinners etc that keep us very busy leading up to Christmas, then the festive season flew by as usual, but this year I also had the treat of spending time with relatives from Longreach which doesn't happen very often, so that was lovely.
Also leading up to and straight after Christmas is our busiest time on the Farm, so amongst it all I had to slip on the work boots and help Hubby with our winter harvest of wheat and planting of our summer sorghum crops which I might add for the first time in a few years Mother nature is being kind to us and they are looking really good.
Then it was a quick get things ready for the new school year with all that dreaded book covering and shoe buying etc... before we then headed off on our annual trek to beach for a few weeks...
Which was just what the doctor ordered to get over all the goings on.
Home again and straight back into the new school year, so with all the Children settled back this week I finally had time to dust off those much neglected stamps and get them inky again and update this poor old neglected blog.
So after all that I had better show you some of what you are really here for...

For this one I have used the Aviary Stamp set and the colours River rock, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist.
I did make a couple in this combo but will save the other one to show you later in the week.
So there you have it.... I hope you all enjoyed your silly season and summer Holiday's as much as I did mine.
Until next time
Happy Stamping
